There are possibly hundreds of reasons to test PDF viewers. This notion has been confirmed after I came across this piece of news which asks to test pdf viewers.
Following are the probable reasons to this:
1. Some of the pdf tools do not display a PDF/X correctly.
2. An iPad application that helps users to view the pdf documents or files is found to be of no use any more.
3. Correct format is not available with PDFs while using these pdf software products.
4. Many Pdf file sharing tools are not trustworthy now due to which we need to conduct this test.
Read the lines stated below to have a clarity on the issue:-
“VIGC decided to conduct the test following many questions over the last few years from the organization’s members: “The tests were not a theoretical exercise,” explains Haazen. “After another issue with a bad PDF viewer last summer, we decided to put many PDF viewers to the test.”
So, we have a confirmation that we must go ahead with the testing process!
